The love letter.
Has the art of the love letter been lost? Where has the pen to paper, heart to word, and feelings to actions, love letter disappeared to? Has it been replaced by clicks, likes and videos of dogs and cats? I hope not! Let’s breath life back into the love letter.
A love letter can be sweet; “Check yes if you like me!”
A love letter can be sorrowful; “You mean more to me than life itself.”
A love letter can be funny; “I love you more than peanut butter and jelly.”
Make it heart felt and honest. A love letter begins in the inkwell of your heart and comes to life on paper. It’s the place where you put your feelings into words for your sweetheart to read. Most of all, a love letter should genuinely reflect you as the sender and how much you love your soulmate.
There isn’t a wrong or right way to pen a love letter. It can be a stick drawing, Me ❤️ You. It doesn’t matter. What melts the recipients heart is that you thought enough, and cared enough to write it.
This Valentine’s Day, take a moment and share a letter of love with your soulmate. It takes courage and maybe even a spell checker but it’s worth it.
I’ll start but then it’s your turn. Go for it! I believe in YOU!
❤️ Dee
My Dearest,
I miss you with all my heart. When you are away, I am a shell of a woman. Stranded on the beach with the other shells. No one noticing if the tide tugs me towards the ocean or if it buries me beneath the sand. My brilliance goes unnoticed and my talents are wasted.
With you by my side, I find the strength to fight the tide, to push my way to the surface and face the elements. I shine even brighter and my gifts are glorified. Nothing seems impossible with you near. I love you.
