Hello fellow book lover & friend,
I know it’s been a while, so let me reintroduce myself.
My name is Dee Armstrong. I’m a writer, mother of five, book lover, tea addict, gardening ninja, black belt and my grandma name is Lolli.
As many of you know, I lost my mother before COVID flipped our world upside down. Only three years after losing my father. My heart took a direct hit, and I was down for the count. Unable to write, unable to sleep, unable to find joy, unable to connect to you.
Now, I’m a few pounds heavier but lighter in my soul. I’ve spent that time reconnecting to what is important. My faith. My family. And now you—my book loving friends.
I’ve realized a few things. Perfection is a pipe dream. Happiness is found in your heart. The written word is an escape not only for the reader but for the writer.
I’m taking 2021, one word, one page, one day at a time.
I always write from the heart. I don’t know any other way. Due to 2020 madness, the stories are piling up in my head. If I don’t “spill the tea” and get them out onto paper, then it’s going to be like a sixty-book car crash in my brain.
Come along on the journey with me. I’ve set huge goals for this year. I want to write three new books. Driftwood, a romantic suspense about love and jealousy. JD and the Broken Promise, a mystery about a Private Investigator and her ghost partner. Home Run, a romance about first love and baseball. The cherry on top would be a Christmas novella.
My goals are big, Big, BIG! I know. But if you shoot for the moon then you’ll land among the stars. I want to land among the stars with four new books for you in 2022.
Heads up, I’m starting something new in March. Spill the Tea with Dee Book Chat. Where I read a book, and hopefully you read the same book too. Then, we meet in cyber space to spill what we loved about the characters, and the story. Our March book is The Duke & I by Julia Quinn.

If your library doesn’t have my books, ask for them. You get to read or listen for free and the library pays me per read or listen. A win for you and me.
I’ve just finished up audio corrections on Haunted by Amethyst. The audio book will be out in March.
